I would never have thought we would have seen the day but Kid Cudi has released “Man on the Moon 3”, this is the third instalment of the Man on the Moon series that features 18 tracks from the Ohio native. Man on the Moon is one of the most influential rap albums of the past twenty years and I cannot wait to dive into this project from Mr Rager.

Cudi opens with “Tequila Shot” which starts with a very distinct flow from Cudi but it takes us right back to the classic Cudi tracks with his trademark humming like singing over this very gloomy and spacey beat.  “Another Day” follows as the next chapter where Cudi spits over the upbeat production, “She Knows This” arrives after with Cudi with another complete switch in the flow where Cudi is just again showing us how versatile he is as an artist, you can also hear glimpses in this song where you can see how the likes of Travis Scott were so influenced by him.

It's hard to overlook one track on this project and that is “Show Out” featuring the late Pop Smoke and the UK’s Skepta in a collaboration we couldn’t have picked in our wildest dreams. Kid Cudi again screams his versatility at us with his flow over a drill beat, although this isn’t Cudi’s first go-to type of production he doesn’t step a foot out of place once.

“Lovin Me” personally takes me back to the days of streaming Man on the Moon repeatedly throughout High School and dam it is good to be back, this is just a Cudi Staple, the beautiful flow along with the vulnerability and expressing the journey he has been through to us in full focus. Phoebe Bridgers was also a beautiful addition to the track with her vocals combining so well with the production.

2020 has been saved. Kid Cudi has put out an absolutely beautiful body of work and has shown everyone why he is one of the pioneers of the sound that we hear so much today in rap. I can’t flaw this project, Kid Cudi has once again been vulnerable and given us everything.
