Shoreline Mafia has released their new album "Mafia Bidness" and it doesn't come without its fair share of drama with rumours that Shoreline Mafia could be going there own way. Recently one of the core members Fenix Flexin said he is going solo and stated on No Jumper this week that he wouldn't even be promoting the release of this project.

Shoreline Mafia does open their project in their vintage style with "Run it Back" with there drumming heavy tracks and usual trap talk with Oh Geesy carrying one of his typical smooth voices that are motivated by drugs, women and getting money. Throughout the project, it refers a lot back to the formula of those three topics of money, drugs and women and you can't help but listen to all the money talk and not think about the "money problems" that led to the walkout of Fenix on the group to go solo.

Mafia Bidness is packed with a few star-studded features but in the end, I don't think they really bring as much to the project as you would think. Wiz Khalifa featured on "How we do it" which was sampled off Montell Angeleno's nineties hit but this is probably the one song on the album where the production didn't feel as crisp as it does on all their other tracks and Wiz Khalifa didn't really add anything else to the table with his placement.

Amongst this, there is certainly some potential Shoreline hits, "Change Ya Life" is a typical bouncy shoreline beat backed up by Oh Geesy and his seductive gangster hooks. "Aww Shit" is another strong track with the familiar shoreline trap production along with strong verses from Rob Vicious and Oh Geesy.

All up "Mafia Bidness" is an acceptable project but there is definitely a share of fillers throughout the project and with the future of Shoreline in speculation, it will be interesting to see what is next for the group from Los Angeles.
