Pink Sweat$ is heading to New Zealand for the first time in 2020. The Honesty talent will demonstrate his addictive harmonies and sublime vocals on stage at Auckland’s Powerstation on January 11.

Pink Sweat$ brings emotion, love and authenticity into each one of his songs. The singer-songwriter describes his music as medicine. Sometimes you try a pill and it’s not for you, and your doctor might have to switch you to something else. Luckily for him, most who give his music a shot become fans.

Before the music, the Philly native was your average high school kid, working at Chick-fil-A with no burning desire to go to college. With mama nudging him to do something with his life, he found himself taking acting classes, which actually gave him the confidence boost to take a leap of faith into the music game. He remembers crushing his first audition, which landed some money in his pocket.

Sweat$ got his stage name and career by chance. “I was essentially just a songwriter,” he tells DJ Booth. “I had no other aspirations, outside of that. I would come to the studio for a couple months, and I was on this pink wave where I would wear these pink sweatpants every single day. This dude, he didn’t know my name, and I wasn’t around, and he was like, ‘Yo, where’s pink sweats?’”

The rest goes down as music history.

With his breakout single ‘Honesty,’ and a music video currently sitting at over 26 million views on YouTube, Sweat$ earned the attention of music-lovers all across the world.

He describes his music as easy listening. Very simple and airy, not a lot going on. It’s spaced enough so you hear the music and the vocals all in the perfect timing of each.
