Usher has settled his $20 million herpes lawsuit.

Laura Helm sued the singer in 2017, claiming he exposed her to the virus when they had unprotected sex. According to TMZ, Helm dismissed her suit earlier this week because she and Usher have “reached an amicable resolution.”

The details of the resolution are unclear. The dismissal was filed with prejudice, meaning it can’t be refiled, which typically signifies that a financial settlement was reached.

Helm initially sued for $10 million before increasing it to $20 million, citing emotional harm and punitive damages.

She filed to dismiss the case a few months later for technical reasons before refiling it in 2018. The case is now officially closed.

According to Radar Online, the R&B superstar previously paid $1.1 million to settle a 2012 lawsuit for allegedly spreading herpes to an unnamed ex, who reportedly works as a celebrity stylist.
