Bonafide Superstar Childish Gambino has released his new album ‘3.15.20’ upon the world. Childish Gambino has demonstrated his diverse musical talent over his career and I couldn't wait to dive into his new project.

Childish Gambino has altered his style a lot compared to the beginning of his career and his new album ‘3.15.20’ displays his craftsmanship and edge especially behind getting his message across to the listener.

"Supercomputer status, walkin' along streets

Everyone is an addict, stumbling concrete

What was the motivation? Constant communication", Gambino opened the project with his track ‘Algorithm’ that already starts the project with a powerful message addressing the listener about our daily untalked about addictions to our phones. ‘Algorithm’ opens with Gambino in his auto-tuned electronic voice backed by heavy drums delivering a powerful message and track to open the project.

Gambino has delivered exceptionally on this album with funky beats that springboard from electronic seventies type tunes with tracks such as ‘19.10’ where Childish is singing over the upbeat catchy track that will have festival crowds swaying in the future. ‘24.19’ revamps the mood to Gambino singing over an elegant guitar riff expressing his singing ability.

The only downside of this project is there are a few tracks where a lot of the vocals are heavily distorted and it is almost impossible to understand what Gambino is trying to say. Tracks such as ‘32.22’ is an illustration of this where Gambino's voice is very morphed to express his anger and aggression with the song itself opening with Gambino panting at the beginning. Gambino has taken the risk of putting tracks on for the listener to decipher themselves.

Childish Gambino has evolved a lot through his music career and ‘3.15.20’ shows not only his progress but his musical ability from his melody, messages and overall production. Childish Gambino has dropped an overall outstanding project that takes us on a journey which is an absolute gift to us in a time of isolation.
