Today, BRIT-nominated R&B star Mahalia has released her forthcoming EP, ISOLATION TAPES. Today also marks the day of her 22nd Birthday and the day she was due to play her biggest show to date, at London’s prestigious Brixton Academy.

“Since being at home, I’ve spent a lot of time writing new music and listening to old music.” Mahalia says. “I found songs that I’d forgotten about, listened to them and fell in love with them all over again. In these uncertain times, when we have so little control over what is going to happen next, I think we have to focus on what we can control.  Music is where I feel that most. And I’m so proud to be putting this EP out!”

ISOLATION TAPES is Mahalia’s fourth EP and follows the release of her critically acclaimed debut album LOVE & COMPROMISE which was released last year. Earlier this year, Mahalia wrapped her sold out headline ‘Love and Compromise’ Tour, which saw the songstress perform across a plethora of continents including; Asia, North America, Canada and Europe. Her tour highlighted not only 'What You Did (Feat. Ella Mai),' but also earlier tracks such as the 2019 summer hit 'Simmer (Feat. Burna Boy)', which recently received Silver status in the UK. Mahalia also previously released hit singles 'I Wish I Missed My Ex' and 'Do Not Disturb,' which each received great critical acclaim.

Having also concluded her sold out UK/European tour in 2019, Mahalia was also announced as YouTube Music’s “Artist On The Rise” in the UK, nominated for her second BRIT Award for “Best Female Artist” and also received a nomination at the NAACP Image Awards for “Outstanding New Artist”.
