Joey Bada$$ Releases 'The Light Pack' EP
The Light Pack marks Joey Bada$$‘ comeback after a three-year hiatus from solo releases. This three-track bundle follows Joey’s July 2017 Too Lit EP, which was also three tracks long.
The Brooklyn MC’s musical “rebirth” was announced on social media on July 13, 2020. The next day, Joey followed up this statement by announcing the release of The Light Pack along with the following caption:
This short project seems to be a prelude to Joey’s long-awaited third studio album, which was announced to be on its way by Joey during his May 2020 interview with COMPLEX:
It’s almost ready. It’s not going to be a longer wait than six months. […] It’s just about taking my time to produce the best body of work. I won’t settle for anything less than a classic.
