Dr. Dre remains in intensive care one week after suffering a brain aneurysm.

Sources close to the 55-year-old mogul tell TMZ that doctors continue to perform a series of tests to find out what happened. Dre was rushed by ambulance from his Pacific Palisades home to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. last Tuesday.

Doctors want to keep him in ICU as a precaution in case he suffers another aneurysm. It’s unclear if he has undergone surgery, but that is the usual procedure to stop bleeding.

His prognosis remains encouraging. He is reportedly “resting comfortably” and doctors have cautiously informed his family that a “bad outcome” is unlikely.

In a statement last week, Dre told fans that he is “doing great” and will be released from the hospital soon. He also thanked his supporters and the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai.

While he was hospitalized, Dre’s lawyers reached a deal in his contentious divorce with Nicole Young. Dre agreed to pay his estranged wife $2 million in temporary spousal support, but he won’t pay the $5 million she demanded in attorney’s fees.
